Suzanne “The old customs post was a lovely cottage to stay.”
Its been done to a high standard and has everything myself and family needed during our stay. The beds are super comfy I felt as though i had the best nights sleep in those beds! the owners are also great with communication and info on the cottage and the welcome pack is a lovely extra to start your holiday. The village of Flushing is also a lovely village with a very cute little shop and two nice bars/restaurants We would definitely go back!
- Suzanne, July 2024Andrew “A stylish, beautifully organised house in this lovely village.”
Very comfortable, including the beds. Although no views, it is only a very short walk to the harbour, or to the local beach/shoreline & coastal path and we really appreciated the sunny, sheltered, enclosed garden (& the glass covered patio is a master stroke in variable weather conditions). Very well equipped. We also appreciated the lovely welcome pack (including the dog).
- Andrew, July 2024Tamzin “The Old Customs Post was a delightful holiday stay, the village of Flushing also a hidden gem.”
The cottage had everything we could possibly want and it was also very luxurious, very comfortable beds and thick fluffy towels. Would thoroughly recommend both pubs in Flushing and we would love to return here.
- Tamzin, June 2024Sarah “A lovely holiday home which was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.”
There was a very thoughtful welcome pack containing specially bought supplies. Booking was very easy and there was great communication from the owner Sharon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
- Sarah, June 2024Karen “Fantastic place to stay, from the comfortable beds and living room furniture to the well equipped kitchen and welcome pack.”
A lot of thought and consideration has gone into making this property very special. We have stayed in many places and this one is definitely number 1. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Sharon and Nigel for making this possible

Well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean cottage. Everything you could ever need. Made for a perfect week away.
- Valerie, May 2024Julie “The cottage though small is perfectly formed and seems spacious.”
All the little touches make it a wonderful place to stay. We loved the garden as did the dog and it was so quiet. Everything was high quality and very well thought out. We will definitely be back
- Julie, April 2024Kim “Beautifully appointed house with everything you could possibly need.”
Fantastic finishes in every room and the outside areas lovely. Great for a rainy day with covered area outside. Cooking facilities and kitchen equipment far better than usual in a holiday home. Facilities for dogs perfect, hooks, bowl, shower hose outside, dog waste bin. Large living and dining space great for entertaining. A short walk from pubs, shop and beach.
- Kim, March 2024Anastasia “We had a great stay at the Old Customs Post.”
The house had all the facilities you could need, including some really thoughtful finishing touches. The house was finished to a really high standard and specification, and made our stay very enjoyable. The location is fantastic, Flushing is a lovely, quaint village with 2 great pubs and a village shop within a 2 min walk. The house was a lovely 15 minute walk to Flushing beach which we enjoyed every morning. We thoroughly recommend the house and will definitely be back!

The cottage had been very thoughtfully furnished and equipped and the beds were very comfortable The owners contacted me direct regarding the the key code and were very helpful and friendly It was good that they are just across in Falmouth When we had a problem with the sink it was fixed straightaway Stairs a bit steep for us but only because of our ages 83&74 It was great having parking on site and location perfect
- Janet, March 2024Jan “The Old Customs Post is an absolute gem of a cottage.”
Everything has been finished to a very high standard, and every last detail thought about. The location is ideal for getting out & about, and it is so comfortable & well-equipped for lazy days 'at home', too!
- Jan, March 2024Michael “Lovely cottage situated in heart of this pretty village.”
Has the benefit of off street parking in an area where parking spaces are a premium. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Highly recommend
- Justine, February 2024Joanne Arabella “We absolutely loved it here and will be back.”
The property is very cosy so whether you fancy a lazy evening in or a quick walk to the local Pub , you will enjoy your stay. The garden is completely enclosed, so you are guaranteed privacy and/or safety if you have little ones or furry friends. Sharon and Nigel couldn't have been more accommodating and we really appreciated the goodies left for us. Hopefully we will be back very soon.
