“The property itself was as expected we were aware it was due to be renovated this year so accept the fact it looked tired.”
However on stripping the bedding (as requested) I was horrified to see the state of the bedding, the duvet on the double bed had a large blood stain on it and the mattress protector was also stained. The mattress protector in the other double room was also stained. One of the duvets I the twin room had a cigarette burn in it. All the mattresss were years old and uncomfortable. There were cobwebs I'm most rooms and when reclining the sofa the carpet underneath was filthy and needed hoovering. Like I say I cam accept tired carpets, curtains and wallpaper etc but would still expect them to be clean. I did take photos which I will happily share. The actual cottage and facilities were very good and we did have a lovely time but for the money I would expect it to be clean.
Thank you for your review and bringing everything to our attention - I have raised this with the relevant people to ensure it doesn't happen again. I'm glad that you had a good time whilst staying with us and we would love to have you back once the cottage has been renovated! Many thanks - Izi, property manager
