“I've stayed in many cottages here over the years and this was one of the best so far.”

It was clean, warm and cosy, and had everything you could possibly need. It also had excellent internet which many certainly don't, this was important for me as I needed to be in easy contact with disabled relatives. I would definitely choose this cottage again on future stays.

“Our sixth time at Pendra Loweth but first at Compass Point and I have to say this is the nicest property we've stayed in.”

Compass Point has clearly benefited from a recent refurbishment and we were very pleased with the facilities, cleanliness and general appearance. Special mention should also go to the new managers of the site bar and restaurant. They've transformed it into a lovely place to spend an evening.

It has everything you could possibly need and more. Only thing I would suggest is updating the guide to show that dogs are allowed on the beaches close pretty much all year except July and August. Will defo recommend this place to my family and friends. Thank you again.

The property does need some investment, new sofas, the can opener is broken (we didn’t break it), the beds aren’t comfortable. There are some areas needing a proper clean like the fans in the bathroom, grouting - these didn’t detract from our stay, just feedback. If we come back to Cornwall we will very likely rebook the same property because we loved it!!

“Compass Point is a lovely, comfortable home from home.”

We've had a great holiday, weather was perfect, and the area is beautiful. We have enjoyed walking with the dogs into Maenporth and Swanpool beaches, and then on to Falmouth. The site is very attractive, staff in the bar/restaurant were very friendly, and Compass Point was well equipped, modern and clean. All four of us middle aged/old adults slept like logs on your very comfortable beds. Couldn't rate this property any higher, thank you for a wonderful week's holiday.

“Nice clean property, very well equipped.”

It is a decent walk into Falmouth but easily doable, a few minutes from the nearest beaches, great location for South Cornwall. Easy to access without going into Falmouth itself. The on site bar food was not the best, but apart from that it was great. Highly recommended.

“Our cottage was very good alround, just a suggestion for owners, a wall hook in the new shower down stairs for towel, and possibly mirror.”

to be honest it was very nice, obviously there was a lot of new fittings, Kitchen ,flooring etc.one other small thing the tv remote was damaged ,easily replaced if you go on ebay, for new.

“We were quite stiff in the mornings as the beds aren't what we are used to.”

On the plus side the cottage in incredibly well equipped in the kitchen only missing a whisk. We had a really lovely week and the site care taker was a great help when our door key broke.

“Accommodation was perfect for our needs.”

Lovely surroundings with a small stream running through the site. Dog walks within 10 minutes drive from our location and was within an hours drive from most of Cornwall's many beaches, country parks and attractions. All in all a great time was had by all including the 3 dogs.

The fact that no chef was available to cover illness was a bit of a disappointment, particularly as we had arrived early evening and were tired after a long journey, and to eat on site would have been an ideal start to our holiday

“The holiday village at compas point falmouth was very well maintained, the house itself was home from home, very clean, absolutely everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay.”

The only down side was, the gardens are communal and open so there was nowhere to let the dogs off lead at the village. Not even for a pee. Needless to say we will return at some point, lots to do and places to visit. Had a fantastic week and ofcourse it went far to quick

“Easy access to all routes but car needed .”

Would be helpful if bus timetable was made available on site, also more outside lights would be useful as walking back from reception it is quite dark . The cottage was very light and comfortable we all enjoyed our stay The food in the restaurant was very good and value for money.

Should have been more clear and precise. But putting that aside cottage and gardens were lovely, very peaceful. Wife didn’t like the road in as was virtually a single track with extremely tight bends in some areas .

“First time at booking with Sykes, our Cornish Cottage in Falmouth was lovely.”

So homely and perfect location to use as a base so we could explore the area. Lovely little communal garden and lots of friendly staff and facilities on site. We booked Cornwall as it was our Silver Wedding Anniversary and we wanted somewhere nice to remember it by. A nice little touch to find that the owners had made provisions for us by supplying the basics such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk, toilet roll etc., After an 8 hour drive, this was indeed a very welcoming gesture. There was no cheese grater and bathroom mat a bit too flimsy which resulted in a slip but in general, the south west is a very nice area. St Ives, Swanpool, Falmouth, Truro and St Austell all very good with some nice shopping centres. Bosvathick Riding Stables in nearby Constantine also well worth the money if you like Horse Riding and Eureka Escape Puzzle Room in Truro also very good for team building. I would give the holiday in all 8 out of 10. I'd like to give it a better rating but can't as sadly, whilst we were staying, there were some people within the cottage complex who were smoking something quite unpleasant which spoilt the evenings as we had to keep the windows/doors closed. Having said that, we have booked with Sykes to go to the Lake District in a few weeks time, where hopefully, we will be able to enjoy the evening fresh air as well as having plenty of trips by day around the beautiful Lake District.

“Very comfortable and clean.”

A washing machine would have been better than a dishwasher. Maybe a better football pitch area and cricket pitch would improve the activities around the site. Signage to the local footpaths would be an improvement as apart from one off the site up the lane there wasn't any information as suggested on your site info about how to walk to the beach which was certainly further by foot that your info suggests. Overall a very pleasant site and we would book again.

With views over a gentle stream towards a wooded valley from the front aspect, a relaxing ambience sets the mood for your holiday.

Furnished to a good standard throughout, the accommodation comprises a spacious open plan living room with doors to a sheltered patio where parents can relax in the afternoon sun and watch children have fun on the communal lawn.

It caters well for families with three attractive bedrooms and two WC's.

Both the kitchen and bathroom are modern and there is parking for one car plus visitor car parking. Enjoying the south west aspect of the village, Compass Point benefits from easy access to the coastal footpaths and Maenporth Cove.

Guests wanting to enjoy a game of tennis are just a stone's throw away from the all weather courts whilst those wanting to relax will appreciate the private patio.

Just a few minutes stroll to the central amenities, those who have not ventured to the beach may enjoy a dip in the Splash Pool or a work out in the Gym.

North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns.

Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the river towards Truro.
