The property

Nestled at the end of the Boscastle’s tiny port is this quaint, whitewashed bolthole, Harbour Cottage.

Bring your partner to this wonderful accommodation to enjoy this corner of Cornwall, where the bustling village plays host to a sheltered natural inlet and an Elizabethan quay, which rests in an impressive amphitheatre of steep cliffs.

Park up your car in the off-road spot and soak up the picturesque surroundings before you enter into the Cornish cottage that you can call home for the duration of your stay.

Enter into the contemporary-style kitchen and unpack your shopping before you make the most of the quality appliances to try your hand at a local delicacy or a family favourite dish.

Enjoy your meal at the dining table, where the large window floods in natural light and offers delightful views as you pop open a bottle of fizz and tuck in.

After dinner, venture into the spacious sitting room, where the woodburning stove takes centre stage and character exudes from the exposed beams; snuggle up on the sofa as you flick on the TV, whilst the fire crackles in the background and offers a gentle warmth during a winter’s evening.

As the evening draws to a close, look forward to catching your rest under the sheets of the plush king-size bed and wake up each morning to the beautiful views of the harbour and surrounding countryside.

Immerse yourself in your surroundings by taking a stroll through the village, where you will find a plethora of shops and places to eat and drink, accompanied by the visitor centre and The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, for a good insight into the village’s past and culture.

From here, stroll to the harbour and climb on board one of the many boat trips, taking you down the coast towards Long Island, where you may catch glimpses of seals, razorbills, guillemots, and puffins.

Explore the coastline further and visit the National Trust owned cliffs of Penally Point and Willapark, with a white coastguard lookout tower perched on the end boasting breath-taking views.

From here, walk the famous South West Coastal Path between Boscastle and Crackington Haven, home to many features including the Strangles beach, High Cliff, which is the highest point on the path and Pentargon inlet with an impressive waterfall.

Further along the coast, you and your loved one can look forward to exploring the cove of Tintagel, famous for its ruined castle and legends of King Arthur, or spend the day at the fishing village of Port Isaac, which doubles up at Port Wenn in the British television comedy drama, Doc Martin.

Whatever the weather, a stay at Harbour Cottage promises to be wonderful.

A perfect Cornish coastal village, the road through Boscastle runs down to the small harbour at the bottom of the hill.
