The Tudor architecture of St Mawes Castle, built in the reign of Henry VII is a worthy sight.

Hop on the King Harry ferry across the River Fal and discover Falmouth, with four beaches arcing golden sands, Pendennis Castle, and the art and craft galleries, traditional inns and shops.

Explore St Just Roseland with its market square attractions including the 15th century parish church. The house has a spacious ambiance, with three bedrooms , two boasting elevated sea views across to Nare Head and Gull Rock.

A former Sea Captains house, this property has a large comfortable living room with open fire and a family dining room with a multi-fuel burning stove.

The kitchen is well appointed with a central island.

Two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, with additional bathroom with indulgent roll-top bath.

The sheltered enclosed garden with pretty lawn and flower borders is an absolute suntrap ideal for lazy breakfasts and barbecues.

About the location

PORTSCATHO

St Mawes 5 miles ; Truro 15 miles ; Mevagissey 13 miles

Once an important pilchard-fishing village, today Portscatho is a popular holiday destination for those seeking a traditional seaside location. Brimming with Cornish charm, there is a sandy beach and a harbour, as well as a pub, a butcher’s, a greengrocer’s and a handful of gift shops and galleries. The coastline here is most scenic, with hidden coves, secret beaches and mile upon mile of undulating coastal footpath. The village of Gerrans is just a short stroll along the shore, and the beautiful Porthcurnick beach is also accessible via the coast path from Porthscatho. Portscatho offers a holiday away from it all, with a welcoming community spirit and several annual events which everyone gets involved with – including the fish festival each August.

Note: There is a pond in the garden, please supervise children.
Note: There is currently scaffolding in place on the building next door. Please contact us for further information before confirming a booking.
