The property

This charming cottage is set in the sleepy village of Carnkie in West Cornwall, close to the bustling town of Camborne.

Boasting a rustic feel to the property, the cottage is mainly comprised of the open-plan living area, where you can whip up delicious feasts in the kitchen before enjoying a family film beside the alluring log burner.

As the evening draws to a close, retire to the bedrooms, including a double and twin bedroom which is ideal for kids, along with a shower room with a walk-in shower.

Head outside to take in the pretty garden whilst sitting on the patio area and enjoying a hot cup of coffee; a super spot to enjoy your breakfast before exploring your surrounding areas; just be sure to bring your walking boots!

Camborne is just three miles away and offers a choice of shops, restaurants and pubs; handy if you don't fancy cooking one evening.

Further attractions within the area include the seaside towns of Portreath and St Ives which are both within close reach and are perfect for a memorable day out.

The cottage is also situated close to the A30, which provides easy access to the charming towns and villages of South Cornwall.

Alternatively, head north and visit Cornwall's only city, Truro, which is packed with magnificent architecture, a range of shopping opportunities and some traditional, Cornish markets.

Bowling Green Cottage is a lovely getaway to this unspoilt part of Cornwall.

About the location

CAMBORNE

Portreath 4.4 miles; Hayle 6.8 miles.

Camborne lies in the heart of a former mining community and was well known for its “Queen of Cornish Mines" - the Dolcoath copper and tin mine, the deepest in Cornwall. Today, Camborne is home to Heartlands, a community space covering 19 acres and scattered with remnants of the mining industry, providing a free space for visitors to explore the heritage of Cornwall, browse art and craft projects, stroll through the gardens and sit and share a picnic or enjoy lunch at the Red River Café. From Camborne centre you can follow an interesting town trail, or spend the afternoon in the museum before visiting the array of shops and pubs. A short drive from Camborne brings you to a wealth of sandy Cornish beaches including Portreath, Gwithian and Porthtowan. Camborne is ideal for exploring Land’s End, the Lizard Peninsula, Truro and the Eden Project, which are all easily accessible by car, ideal for a day trip.
