Calleynough Barn Cottages

Situated in an idyllic rural setting are several converted barns which have been renovated to a high standard, boasting contemporary features, fused with a homely country feel. The cottages are perfectly set up for a group of friends or a large family gathering who want to stay close together, but still have their own privacy, joined together by charming outdoor seating dotted around the grounds and field. If you can tear yourself away from this tranquil backdrop, venture into the historic town of Bodmin where you can get your fix of culinary delights and stock up on essentials from the nearby shops. Embark on a day of adventure around here, setting off on a challenging ramble or pedal around Bodmin Moor, the Camel Trail or the Saints Way. Alternatively, spend a relaxing day admiring the seaside, visiting one of the sandy beaches for a coastal journey where you can sunbathe, try out watersports, or discover a breath-taking coastal path over to Rock Bay, Daymer Bay, Boscastle and Tintagel. Other must-see attractions await at Port Isaac, Padstow Harbour, Polzeath Beach, The Eden Project, and the incredible cathedral city of Truro.

About the location

BODMIN

Lostwithiel 6 miles; St. Austell 13 miles; Padstow 16 miles; Newquay 21 miles.

Bodmin, the one-time County Town of Cornwall with its narrow streets, shops and pubs, is perfectly placed for exploring all that this fabulous holiday area has to offer. The outstanding surf, rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the north coast beaches and the quieter sands and river estuaries of the south coast are both 15 miles away while on the edge of town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail. The popular Camel Trail for cyclists and walkers also winds its way through the town on its journey to the sea at Padstow. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out. Also within easy reach and ideal for a fun-filled day out, guests can visit Lanhydrock House, the small town of Fowey and Charlestown with its Tall Ships, The Eden Project and Lostwithiel. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
