“Kind of made a mistake booking, did not read reviews accurately first then when I tried to cancel it I realised you lose the 200£ deposit.”

The location is good- Cambourne itself isn’t nice, but it is really close to hayle st Ives parran porth and Newquay. The hot tub is fab and the outside bit is nice. The place is clean, but as stated it is very very small. I have multiple bruises from the “stair case” I’m 5ft 6 and 12 stone and if your much bigger you would struggle to get up and down them I think. You can’t really chill out in the evening times unless you go and lay in the bed. I know it’s small, but would be so ...

You can’t really chill out in the evening times unless you go and lay in the bed. I know it’s small, but would be so much better to have a small corner comfy sofa made or something where you can relax rather than just sitting on the two chairs. We purchased food for the first night and as we went to cook it the oven didn’t work it kept tripping the electric every time we turned it on therefore we had to throw the food we had bought. We did contact Sykes but only got a response the day we were leaving. Also would have been nice to be able to put the heating on at night especially to dry wet clothes as our clothes got wet from rain. We still had a good holiday, but I wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t book with Sykes.

Thank you for your feedback, we have taken this on board, we were unaware of the issue with the oven, however we will look into this. We are are glad you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

About the location

CAMBORNE

Portreath 4.4 miles; Hayle 6.8 miles.

Camborne lies in the heart of a former mining community and was well known for its “Queen of Cornish Mines" - the Dolcoath copper and tin mine, the deepest in Cornwall. Today, Camborne is home to Heartlands, a community space covering 19 acres and scattered with remnants of the mining industry, providing a free space for visitors to explore the heritage of Cornwall, browse art and craft projects, stroll through the gardens and sit and share a picnic or enjoy lunch at the Red River Café. From Camborne centre you can follow an interesting town trail, or spend the afternoon in the museum before visiting the array of shops and pubs. A short drive from Camborne brings you to a wealth of sandy Cornish beaches including Portreath, Gwithian and Porthtowan. Camborne is ideal for exploring Land’s End, the Lizard Peninsula, Truro and the Eden Project, which are all easily accessible by car, ideal for a day trip.

Note: No babies or children
Note: The bedroom has sloped ceilings, please mind your head.
Note: The spiral staircase is steep and narrow, making it unsuitable for those with limited mobility. It is also unsuitable to take large suit cases upstairs and so suitcases should be stored in the sitting area.
