    “On the second day of our stay I contacted Cornish Changeovers to alert them to various issues with the cottage - most importantly the noise from the building site opposite and the coldness of the cottage on arrival.”

    I sent them a detailed email and forwarded a copy to Cornish Cottage Holidays. Since our return I have tried to contact Cornish Cottage holidays (holding on the phone for several hours). I received a call back from Sykes holidays (Emma) and she promised to get back to me in 24/48 hours. Still heard nothing back. As a client (who used to run my own holiday cottages) the most important thing is to have one point of contact who can respond - not 4 different organisations as in this case. I am ...

I am still awaiting a response to my email of 3rd February. Pendower Cottage is in a fabulous position (the reason we selected it) and generally the cottage is lovely but was let down by the issues I outlined in my email and my conversations with Cornish Changeovers and Emma of Sykes Holidays. We would hopefully wish to return to the cottage in the future to enjoy the peace and warmth we were expecting. I look forward to some response from one of the operators.

Just a few steps from Porthgwarra Cove beach, Pendower Cottage is set in the heart of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Enjoy stunning seascapes from the open-plan living space, bedroom, and garden complete with an outside seating area. The open-plan living space has a fully equipped, modern kitchen, dining and sitting area, complete with cosy woodburner, where you can relax in comfort and take in the views. The large bedroom offers a comfy superking-size bed, and the stylish bathroom comes with a double walk-in shower. Step out of the front door straight onto the South West Coast Path to explore the rugged coastline of the Land’s End Peninsula.

Porthgwarra Cove Café is close at hand where you’ll find fresh barista coffee, delicious homemade cakes and Moomaid Cornish ice cream which is made just down the road in Zennor. Birdwatchers will be able to spot rare seabirds and choughs at Gwennap Head and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is a 25-minute walk along the scenic coastal footpath.

The parish of St Levan derives its name from the 4th Century saint who settled here. The ancient ruins of his Chapel can still be seen today above Church Cove, one of three beautiful and secluded beaches on this wild, unspoilt, and staggeringly beautiful peninsular, the most South Westerly point in the UK. Porthgwarra, the next beach along, sparkles at the end of a valley. You’ll find tunnels hewn into the cliffs, and the Porthgwarra Cove Café, along with the Guest Hub. It is the place to go for breakfast, lunch, ice cream, cakes, cream teas, pasties, helpful advice, and arranging holiday fun. Seals are endlessly dropping by. Continue over the clifftops and you arrive at Nanjizal, accessible only by foot and without a road in sight. At one end stands the stunning Zawn Pyg (‘Song of the Sea’) a natural rock arch that has captivated people for centuries. If the fancy took you to go on, then Sennen is around the corner. As well as being nestled in secluded coastal locations, our cottages are just a stone’s throw from some of Cornwall’s best-loved sights. Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre are within walking distance. St Michael’s Mount, St Ives, and many of the area’s best beaches are just a short drive away.
