The property

Located in the charming town of Newlyn is a stylish mid-terrace cottage, where a small family can rest during an exciting getaway to the Cornish coast.

Several steps take you up to the entrance and a lovely front patio where you can enjoy a morning coffee alongside the fresh sea air.

The ground floor houses a homely sitting room, perfect for summer and winter months with its bright interior, Smart TV, and toasty open fire centered around two attractive sofas.

Continuing to impress is a sociable dining room where a family table takes centre stage, ideal for hosting dinner parties with home-cooked food from the amply-equipped kitchen next door, complemented by country-style red tile flooring.

Also on this floor is a utility storage room and a quaint rear courtyard with bistro seating, great for alfresco dining in the summer.

Ascend to the first floor and discover two bedrooms—a charming double room and a cosy bunk bedroom, both boasting generous storage, indulge in the luxurious bathroom, adorned with an enticing roll-top bath, and walk-in shower then immerse yourself in the picturesque sea views that unfold gracefully from the windows on this elevated level.

Discover your local amenities in the town centre of Newlyn, boasting a range of shops for you to stock up on essentials, as well as pubs and eateries where you can spend evenings out of the kitchen.

Stroll over to the colourful harbour and watch gentle boats bob along before walking over to the golden sands of Newlyn Tolcarne Beach.

Penzance is just over a mile away, a popular port town, home to even more amenities and attractions including National Trust's Trengwainton Garden, Penlee House Gallery & Museum, Morrab Gardens, and the lively Penzance Promenade.

Alternatively, catch a train over to the busy resort town of St Ives and spend a day exploring Porthgwidden Beach, St Nicholas Chapel, and Bamaluz Beach.

Other attractions worth a visit include Paradise Park, JungleBarn Cornwall, Flambards Theme Park, the awe-inspiring South West Coast Path, and boat trips out to St Michaels Mount.

About the location

NEWLYN

Penzance 1.2 miles; Marazion 6.6 miles; St Ives 8.9 miles.

Nestled next to Penzance, and although still a quaint town in its own right, Newlyn is actually the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all seafaring craft. This Cornish town is clustered around the harbour, with its historic 800 year old quay (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth) curling around a few small boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the town, as does the level Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.

Please note: 5 Parc Terrace can only accept a check-in on a Friday.
