“Our 2nd stay here and hopefully won't be the last.”

Comfy, cosy and very clean cottage in quiet location in the centre of the village. Weather was very mixed so being able to return here was great. We love the Old Albion pub and would recommend Sunday lunch. Other eating places we visited whilst out and about: Poco Loco, Gorse Bakery, pasties from bakery in Cubert, Rems Caff. Ssshhhh.. don't tell everyone as we need to keep it our secret!!!

The property

Resting in the charming village of Crantock, a stone’s throw from the stunning Cornish coast, is this beautiful two-bedroom barn conversion, Apple Barn.

Crantock beach (National Trust) is just a short walk from the Barn, making it an excellent spot for surfers and beach lovers.

Offering off-road parking for one car and an enclosed garden, Apple Barn is a wonderful choice for hosting your next break with family or friends to Cornwall.

The Barn has a light, bright and contemporary interior throughout, offering a homely cottage feel, with an open-plan living area to enjoy after a fun summer’s day on the beach.

Rustle up tasty meals and snacks in the lovely kitchen, equipped with everything you need for a self-catered stay as well as a washer/dryer for getting any beach gear washed.

For cooler winter months, once you’ve finished your evening meal around the dining table, curl up on the soft seating before the woodburning stove, a traditional feature settled within the fireplace.

Relish relaxing in your own private space to the rear of the Barn where a sunny enclosed garden awaits, complete with a lawned area, a patio with furniture and a barbecue for those balmy summer evenings at the grill.

Discover a ground-floor shower room before heading up to the first floor to find the two lovely bedrooms, comprising a king-size and a twin room, with the latter able to be a super-king-size on request thanks to zip/link features.

Due to its central location, Apple Barn will appeal to those who like to be within walking distance from Crantock’s beach & village amenities, including the local shop, pub and businesses like the surf hire shop where you can pick up a board and test the waves!

The avid surfers will love being just a stone’s throw from Newquay’s epic Fistral Beach where waves have been recorded as reaching 30 feet high, and plenty of surf schools on the shore ready to teach you the skills you need if you’re a beginner.

Embark on an adventure along the coast with the South West Coast Path being the perfect way to explore; head along the West Pentire Peninsula, past The Chick Island where you might spot some seals, continuing southward to the stunning Perranporth Beach and St Agnes Heritage Coast.

Other nearby attractions include Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium, Trenance Gardens and Newquay Golf Club.

Enjoy a wonderful stay in Crantock with your loved ones at Apple Barn.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
