5 The Old Smokehouse is a beautifully presented home, enjoying views across the Georgian harbour of Charlestown and out to sea, in the heart of Cornwall. Situated just moments away from the beach and close to a range of local amenities, this pet-friendly property offers stunning sea views and all the comforts of home, making it an ideal base for couples, friends, and small families alike. The property benefits from an off-road parking space, and a private, enclosed front garden, the latter offering a haven for alfresco dining whilst overlooking the beautiful harbour. Step indoors and be met by the open-plan living space, with sumptuous sofas to sink into, a well-equipped kitchen to take advantage of, and a dedicated dining area for all five guests. Prepare and enjoy meals together, flick on the Smart TV for a relaxing night in, or gather outside to plan your Cornish itinerary, with plenty to see and do nearby. As day turns into night, head upstairs to the bedrooms, starting with a king-size room, boasting original beamed ceilings, a modern en-suite shower room, and lovely vistas across the sea; the remaining bedrooms consist of a double and a single, both serviced by a separate bathroom with a further shower and bath. Charlestown is steeped in history, famous for the tall ships that used to transport the China Clay from the harbour far across the seas, and more recently the filming of TV's Poldark series, Doctor Who and movies such as Alice in Wonderland. Charlestown has a fantastic selection of coffee shops, pubs and restuarants and in the warmer months street food pop ups.

Enjoy traditional food in The Rashleigh Pub or The Pier House, fabulous candlelit seafood at Springtide, delicious burgers and cocktails in Rebellion and a wide variety of upmarket dishes in The Boathouse and The Longstore.

A delightful and much sought-after coastal village of stone cottages and Regency houses, on the south coast near St. Austell. Famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path, Charlestown is the perfect holiday destination. It has even been used as a filming location, most well-known for appearing in Poldark. The area is rich in golf courses with Carlyon Bay and Porthpean close by. The picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey is 6 miles away by car, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan, several stately homes and gardens and the fabulous Eden Project are all within 5 miles, with Newquay and North Cornwall coast 17 miles away.
