The property

Nestled a stone's throw away from the heart of the charming seaside town of Hayle rests this traditional holiday home, Primrose Cottage.

Within easy reach of both the coast and county of Cornwall, Primrose Cottage is a blissful retreat for both families and friends alike.

Marvel at the delightful white-washed exterior of this lovely dwelling, stepping inside and kicking off your shoes as you enter into the snug sitting room, fit with a leather sofa and armchair gathered around the television, enticing you to nestle in as you unwind with a cup of tea following an action-packed day.

Make your way through to the kitchen/diner tucked away at the rear to the property, featuring a traditional yet contemporary décor with brick tiles and gleaming surfaces, homing all of the essential amenities to ensure an enjoyable self-catering experience.

Gather your loved ones for a seat at the elegant breakfast bar to serve your tasty treats, or if you're lucky enough to experience the warmer weather, step outside and indulge in a spot of alfresco dining, enveloped in the tranquil setting of the well-maintained green garden.

As the evening grows darker, head back inside to soak your muscles ahead of a new day in the bathtub, located on the ground-floor for your convenience, or if you'd prefer, climb the stairs and wash away the day with an invigorating rinse in the walk-in shower.

Retire for the evening and rest your head in one of the two thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms, with the choice between a bright and airy double room or a sumptuous king-size, with the versatility feature to convert into two single flexible sleeping arrangements.

Get better acquainted with your surroundings and take the short stroll into the centre of Hayle where you'll find a handful of independent shops, perfect for picking up a keepsake to remind you of your marvellous staycation, along with a delicious selection of eateries, where no trip to the coast would be complete without a takeaway portion of fish and chips and a leisurely stroll along the beachfront.

Spend a fun-filled day meeting the rare animals at Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, challenge the little ones to a game of pitch and putt, or escape the excitement and enjoy a peaceful spot of birdwatching at RSPB Hayle Estuary.

Venture further afield to the popular tourist town of St Ives and dip your toes in the refreshing waters of the bay as you bask in the sun and sand, marvel at the magnificent artwork on display at the Tate St Ives, or follow the South West Coast Path from the heart of the town towards Clodgy Point, providing breath-taking panoramic views across the scenic coastline.

Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or to experience adventure, choose a stay at Primrose Cottage.

About the location

HAYLE

St Ives 6.3 miles; Penzance 7.4 miles.

Hayle is in the far-flung south western corner of Cornwall and sits on an important RSPB wildlife estuary flowing out to the beautiful St Ives Bay, where visitors can enjoy three miles of golden sandy beaches, walks, history and wildlife. Hayle has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. There are skittles and karting for the family, and for golfers, one of the best links golf courses in Cornwall is at Lelant, a mile out of Hayle. But the jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. For the less energetic there are beach cafes where you can take in the views and watch the children play. As Hayle is centrally located you can easily access many other places by either public transport (there is a train station at Hayle) or driving. St. Ives is a short drive away where you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the art galleries or admire the colourful sub tropical gardens. St Ives harbour has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Within easy reach of Hayle is the Minack Theatre (35 mins), Falmouth Maritime Museum (40 mins), Eden Project (40 mins), St. Michael’s Mount (15 mins) and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.
