The property

Resting in Goldsithney, by the Cornwall coast, is this gorgeous, historic, former school hall, Roncon's Villa.

Sleeping up to six guests and within walking distance to the beach, Roncon's Villa is a great base for your next family getaway, within easy reach of Marazion and Penzance.

You are welcomed to the property by a private driveway, with space for two cars, which then shows you through to the enclosed garden which has a sun deck with garden furniture to enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down, a lawn area for your children and pets to play, and a delightful decking with a 3-berth hot tub, certain to entice guests into a relaxing evening.

As you step into the property there is an open-plan living space where you are charmed by antique features such as an idyllic piano, a red velvet chaise, and a chandelier placed above the dining table, making it an excellent place for guests to enjoy an evening meal.

There is a shaker kitchen, made bold with its granite and wood work tops, and well equipped with an American style fridge/freezer, a wine cooler and a handy washing machine, whilst in the sitting area, a woodburning stove adds warmth to the room whilst you flick on your favourite film and let the night draw to a close.

To finish the ground floor, there is a shower room, with charming decoration, giving guests more space and freedom to freshen up for their day ahead.

The open-tread stairs lead to the first-floor, where there is a fabulous family room with a king-size and single bed, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements, along with the storage space that makes you feel right at home.

Beyond here, there is a double room with exposed low beams and large windows which makes the space bright and airy, a single bedroom to escape to in privacy and a great bathroom with a marble basin and seaside decorations, fitting the theme of your coastal getaway.

Goldsithney is a typical Cornish village with its country houses, shops and two village pubs as well as a great tourist attraction, known as Guy's Butterfly House, where you get to see some relaxing and pretty butterflies.

A short walk is the village of Perranuthnoe with its large sandy beach and Trenow Cove, known as a great hiking area, as well as some lovely little beach cafes and the Victoria Pub which is famous for its food.

Marazion is just a short drive away and offers art galleries, playgrounds, a fish and chip shop, fantastic pubs and access to St Michael's Mount via the famous causeway over the sandy beach whilst the tide is out.

Alternatively, take a boat ride to tour the 12th Century castle and enjoy views over the amazing beaches of Mounts Bay.

The huge beaches of West Cornwall near Goldsithney are great for surfing, wind and kite surfing as well as learning how to kayak and stand up paddle board just down the road in Marazion!

Slightly further along the stunning coastline is Penzance where there is a scenic promenade, a bustling harbour, Polgoon Vineyard and choice of museums, galleries, shops, bars and eateries for when you feel like eating out.

Goldsithney is only 10 miles from St Ives and the Lizard and 5 miles from the quaint fishing village of Mousehole.

For a gorgeous trip to the Cornwall coast, choose the outstanding Roncon's Villa as your base.

About the location

GOLDSITHNEY

Marazion 1.5 miles; Penzance 4 miles; Helston 11 miles.

A typically Cornish country village with picturesque houses, shops and village pubs, Goldsithney is set back from the coast, thus escaping the main tourist rush, yet lying close to all the main attractions. Dominating the area and just 2 miles away is the off shore island castle of St Michael's Mount - reaching it via the causeway when the tide is out is a must. Right on the doorstep there are fabulous beaches, the coastal path (winding its way over the cliff tops) and plenty of sailing and fishing. Visit Penzance, with its slightly bohemian air, the cliff-top theatre at Minack or the stunningly beautiful fishing villages of Marazion and Mousehole - a superb base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.
