    “We really enjoyed staying at Summerfield house.”

    The facilities were fantastic. It was a large property which all the family enjoyed. We particularly liked the games room and the garden. It was a homely comfortable property and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Adjacent to sister property Summerfield Cottage, Summerfield House is a large house located in the Goran Haven area of Cornwall.

The property is perfect for families wishing to explore the beautiful Roseland Peninsula.

Inside the house there’s a large open-plan living area, which ensures that the family will always be together.

The open-plan living area includes a modern kitchen, dining area and also the sitting area, complete with reclining sofas.

Elsewhere on the ground floor is a utility room and also children’s play area/games room.

Within here is a table tennis table, so why not set up a family tournament? There are three bedrooms within the property, a master bedroom and twin (both located on the first floor) and also a bunk bedroom located on the ground floor.

The master bedroom has a balcony which provides great views of the garden and the nearby countryside.

The garden has a nice decking area, allowing guests to enjoy a meal in their tranquil surroundings, whilst it’s also big enough for children to play. The village of Gorran Haven is situated within a valley and is home to numerous fisherman’s cottages, surrounded by a secluded cove and Dodman Point.

The beach is also one of the best sunbathing spots within the county.

As well as sunbathing the area is also a popular spot for walkers, with gorgeous routes in either direction. Summerfield House’s location and its homely atmosphere make it a great destination throughout the year.

About the location

GORRAN HAVEN

Mevagissey 3 miles.

Once a crab fishing village, Gorran Haven on the south coast of Cornwall is ideally placed to explore the many beaches and coves in the area. Gorran Haven has a small sandy beach set behind a traditional sea wall, connecting with the longer Great Perhaver beach at low tide and is popular with families. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is readily accessible from the South West Coast Path that passes through Gorran Haven. Within walking distance are a number of more isolated beaches and the 370 feet high Dodman Point, rising above Gorran, which is thought to be one of Cornwall’s most dramatic headlands, and the cause of many a shipwreck. From its gorse-covered heights there are views across Veryan Bay to the west and Vault Beach to the east. Alternatively, you may wish to walk the coastal path to the harbour village of Mevagissey. Near Gorran Haven, in a beautiful setting of woodland, stream and pasture, is Caerhays Castle, an informal 60-acre garden on the coast near Porthluney Cove. Nearby attractions are the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and the cathedral town of Truro, with an excellent range of quality shopping and dining.
