The property

Heaven for walkers, city escapees, foodies and romantics, The Snug is a luxurious getaway close to Cornwall’s Riviera coastline, beaches galore and miles of stunning coast path.

Set back from the road and adjoining the charming owners home is your private sanctuary for two, situated in the heart of the pretty village of Grampound which lies on the edge of the Roseland Peninsula, a designated part of Cornwall's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Rich, luxurious and exotic, interiors have a subtle Eastern influence with wonderful colours, sumptuous textures and bold patterns.

Arranged over two floors, the entrance is onto a kitchen dining room which is totally en-trend.

Bold blue cabinets and Moroccan inspired tiles add distinction to the cooking space and upholstered armchairs encourage couples to come together and relax.

A door leads from the kitchen dining room to a quietly elegant master bedroom with a king size bed dressed in soft bed linens, good art, gorgeous prints and a swish en-suite bathroom.

Choose between an invigorating walk-in shower, which is large enough for two, or a deep bath tub for a post-ramble soak.

The Moroccan inspired theme extends to a patio with mellow countryside views, exotic plants and garden furniture for alfresco meals and romantic sundowners.

Wind down for the evening beside the glow of the firepit with blankets and hot water bottles provided.

Climb the staircase from the kitchen dining room to an intimate sitting room set beneath the eaves with a large corner settee to kick back and relax.

There is a delicious welcome hamper on arrival stocked with Cornish goodies including Tremethick Ale, which is the local beer brewed by the owner, and good books and DVD’s for cosy nights in.

The owner is more than happy to do tours and tastings at the microbrewery.

There is a large yoga and exercise room at the premises, including a step and running machines, weights, yoga equipment and a large smart TV, which can be used at the owner’s discretion.

You will find a country pub, restaurant and general stores within a short stroll.

For a wider choice of amenities, head to nearby Truro, Cornwall’s capital with shops, pubs, restaurants, galleries, museum and cinema.

The local beach is the very beautiful Caerhays Beach (Porthluney) adjacent to Caerhays Castle and Gardens and is 15 minutes by car.

The sandy beach and coastal golf courses at Carlyon Bay and Porthpean are a 15 minute drive.

The charming fishing village of Mevagissey and the historic port of Charlestown, famous for its tall ships and the filming of the BBC’s Poldark series are a 20 minute drive.

The Eden Project, with its iconic rain forest biomes, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also within easy reach and a must-see for garden lovers.

A little further along the coast is the stunning scenery and tranquility of the Roseland Peninsula which has great walking routes, beaches that are rarely crowded and charming fishing villages.

You will also discover the fashionable waterfront town of St Mawes which is popular among the boating and yachting fraternity.

The Snug is the perfect couples retreat for breaks at any time of year.
