    “A great house with a perfect location for the beach and those who like walking on the coastal path.”

    There were 4 adults in our group and the house felt the perfect size although can sleep 6 and there still would be ample room to get some space. A couple of little extra’s such as more details on bin day, what to do with recycling and a welcome pint of milk in the fridge would have taken The Mews from 9.5 to a 10 out of 10. Fen was always available and couldn’t have been more helpful.

The property

This purpose-built holiday home sits just a short walk from the beach in Harlyn Bay, Cornwall.

Upstairs plays host to three bedrooms; the master houses a king-size bed and en-suite shower, whilst there is also an additional king-size and an adult bunk serviced by a bathroom.

Step outside and make the most of the enclosed courtyard, a safe space for your pooch to roam whilst you reminisce on the day’s events.

The Mews

These two purpose-built holiday homes sit in Harlyn Bay, just a short walk from the beach. Boasting a contemporary décor and furnishings, The Mews is a superb escape for families and friends looking to explore this region of Cornwall. Internally, the properties benefit from open-plan living spaces, hosting well-equipped kitchen with a range of integrated appliances so you can easily cook up a storm. Spend your evenings relaxing on the sofa, throwing open the patio doors to let the fresh Cornish air wash through the rooms. The upstairs play host to the bedrooms, including a master double with en-suite shower, a standard double and a bunk, serviced by a gleaming bathroom. If you book these cottages together, you can experience the delights of both properties, while enjoying a sparkling glass of wine within the enclosed courtyard. Just a short walk away lies Harlyn Beach, considered one of the best family beaches in Cornwall, it boasts a wide and sandy stretch with plenty of interesting rock pools. Padstow 2.5 miles, Constantine 2 miles; Polzeath 15 miles.

Harlyn is a charming little village, with a large crescent shaped sandy beach, safe for swimming, surfing and dog friendly all year round. Harlyn Bay is considered to be one of the best family beaches in Cornwall with a north-facing shore, beckoning surfers to brave the white waves that surge towards golden sands. Connected to the South West Coastal Path and part of the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' area this is also an ideal location for walkers to explore the beautiful Cornish countryside. Constantine Bay just two miles away offers golf at the Trevose Championship course. Nearby Padstow lies at the head of the Camel Trail along the Camel Estuary and local cycle hire shops enable visitors to enjoy the area easily. Padstow is a delightful fishing port offering ample opportunity to taste locally sourced produce, as well as the award-winning Camel Valley wines, in celebrity owned establishments. Local fisherman's boats offer coastal tours and sea fishing trips, while a passenger ferry takes you across the estuary to Rock with the windsurfing beach of Daymer Bay and golf at the famous St Enedoc course. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls there are several stately homes and gardens to visit as well as special events at the Cornish County Showground.
