“Polwen is a beautiful holiday home.”

Love the style and decor. Very well thought out with everything you need for a fabulous holiday. The safe and secure garden is ideal for our dog. There's a 2 min walk to the stunning beach and acces to the coastal path. Things to add, it would be useful to know what day bins are collected as the bins hadn't been emptied. This was not an issue as there was plenty of room left. We visited during a really bad storm. Power cuts were regular but we had great support from the property manager. I ...

This was not an issue as there was plenty of room left. We visited during a really bad storm. Power cuts were regular but we had great support from the property manager. I would have .I've a broom so I could sweep the deck area after the storm. It would also be useful in the house duets sand from shoes. Great investment for the future would be an EV charging point On the whole I would visit this beautiful home anytime. We had the best night's sleep ever in a holiday home. 10/10 xx

The property

What sets Polwen apart from other accommodation, is its highly sought-after location just a few minutes’ walk from the fantastic beach at Harlyn Bay in Cornwall.

Perfect for a family holiday or a small get-together of friends, Polwen boasts simply stunning accommodation which is conveniently spread over the ground floor.

You can park up with ease on the gravelled driveway and as soon as you unload your bags and step into the light and airy property, your holiday can begin.

The open-plan living space is a really sociable area where you can imagine gathering either to chill out and catch up with each other’s news or watch TV together in the seating area, or cook up a storm in the more than amply equipped kitchen with two dining areas offering plenty of room for entertaining during your stay.

Choose from a window seat and dining table at the front of the space, ideal for informal brunches and breakfasts on the go, or step into the additional dining area overlooking the delightful gardens, which is just perfect for a more formal dinner party and is somewhere you can really look forward to tucking into long, leisurely meals together.

If the sun is shining (which it does a lot in Cornwall!), you can take your drinks outside and spend some time alfresco, while the kids and any dogs can run around safely in the enclosed gardens.

And even better, there is a gorgeous little path which leads directly from the garden at Polwen down to the beach so it couldn’t be easier to pack a picnic and head out for the day, right from the front door.

After an exhilarating day at the beach, there is nowhere better to come back to than Polwen with its two shower rooms the ideal spot for washing off the sand before chilling out and then at bedtime, guests can choose from three immaculately-presented bedrooms including a family room, a double and a master super-king-size.

Waking up in the morning is a delight at Polwen with the beach beckoning and the delights of Cornwall on the doorstep just waiting to be discovered.

Harlyn is an enchanting little village and the beach is popular with swimmers, surfers and dog walkers.

If you like walking, there are more trails, hikes and walks than you can shake a stick at along the South West Coastal Path with some spectacular views.

Keen golfers will be pleased to know there are great courses at Trevose and Enedoc and neighbouring towns of Newquay and Padstow are both well worth a visit known for their beaches and star-studded restaurants, cafes, pubs and bistros.

Talking of beaches, there are so many to choose from in the local area, but ones worth checking out include Daymer Bay, Pentire Head and Polzeath.

For a holiday home that ticks all the boxes in a simply superb setting, Polwen is the only choice.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £350.

About the location

HARLYN, CORNWALL

Padstow 2.5 miles, Constantine 2 miles; Polzeath 15 miles.

Harlyn is a charming little village, with a large crescent shaped sandy beach, safe for swimming, surfing and dog friendly all year round. Harlyn Bay is considered to be one of the best family beaches in Cornwall with a north-facing shore, beckoning surfers to brave the white waves that surge towards golden sands. Connected to the South West Coastal Path and part of the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' area this is also an ideal location for walkers to explore the beautiful Cornish countryside. Constantine Bay just two miles away offers golf at the Trevose Championship course. Nearby Padstow lies at the head of the Camel Trail along the Camel Estuary and local cycle hire shops enable visitors to enjoy the area easily. Padstow is a delightful fishing port offering ample opportunity to taste locally sourced produce, as well as the award-winning Camel Valley wines, in celebrity owned establishments. Local fisherman's boats offer coastal tours and sea fishing trips, while a passenger ferry takes you across the estuary to Rock with the windsurfing beach of Daymer Bay and golf at the famous St Enedoc course. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls there are several stately homes and gardens to visit as well as special events at the Cornish County Showground.
