“Positives: Peaceful location adjacent to the River Camel in a deep valley.”

We were warm and cosy the whole stay, the weather was mild. There were ample glasses, cutlery, crockery, utensils, pots and pans etc. This is a very large cabin with two double bedrooms and a further room with four singles. The garden was fenced and private. The cabin is set slightly aside from the other accommodation, next to the owners' house. Negatives: The accomodation is a little dated and tired. The ensuite shower rail was faulty, the kitchen extractor did not work effectively, the ...

ST BREWARD

Bodmin 7 miles; Lostwithiel 14 miles; Padstow 17 miles; St Austell 20 miles.

St Breward is a small village set amongst beautiful countryside in Cornwall, about 7 miles from Bodmin. The village offers all the amenities you will require during your stay with a shop, village hall, church, two playgrounds and a pub. A footpath in the village creates a nice circular loop past the holy well, the church and across the River Camel. Nearby, you can also enjoy the Camel Trail which is popular with both walkers and cyclists and winds its way through the town Wadebridge on its journey to the sea at Padstow. On the edge of the town of Bodmin is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail, which was built from granite excavated from this very quarry back in 1840. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out.
