    “Location of the property is great and the views are amazing.”

    The property has great facilities and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only issue we had was that it is looking a bit tired in places and in need of some tlc. The carpets are quite stained and in need of a clean and the Hallway carpet by the main bedroom and bathroom needs replacing as it has come away from the door strip and is frayed and moving so could cause a trip hazard. The road outside the property is very busy and drivers do not adhere to the 20mph speed limit and I would ...

    The property has great facilities and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only issue we had was that it is looking a bit tired in places and in need of some tlc. The carpets are quite stained and in need of a clean and the Hallway carpet by the main bedroom and bathroom needs replacing as it has come away from the door strip and is frayed and moving so could cause a trip hazard. The road outside the property is very busy and drivers do not adhere to the 20mph speed limit and I would have been very worried if we had children with us. The opposite side of the road is used for anyone and everyone to park on as it is free so people tend to park there and walk across to the beach etc this does make it very difficult at times to get in and out of the driveway. All in all we had a lovely few days there and had everything we needed.

We did have an issue with the carpet and unfortunately we couldn’t manage to get it resolved before your stay. However it is all booked in and due to be replaced. I also wanted to reassure you with regards to the road, we have 3 children and have had many friends and family, with children of all ages stay with us and have never had an issue with the road. There is the lower access onto the parking area which avoids walking on the road outside the house. We just wanted to reassure you on those points as we love people being able to enjoy Fairwinds and all Portreath and Cornwall has to offer. Property Owner

PORTREATH

Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives.
