“I’ve stayed at many holiday cottages over the yrs and I’m sorry but this one needs a lot of work done to it to bring it up to standard .”
It needs a deep clean , decorating to a better finish , general maintenance ie bathroom door needs fixing . There was no information about how to use any appliances/ rubbish removal/recycling . It needs maybe a corner sofa instead of 2 chairs which after a while we’re uncomfortable. The outside bench needs replacing as was very unstable also needed a clean up outside .
Sorry to hear the disappointment about your stay. The flat is steam cleaned after visit, so I will check up on this. Info about rubbish recycling is on a leaflet in the kitchen drawer. Perhaps this needs to be left in a prominent position. The recliner chairs and footstools are new and only used once prior to your stay. We use the same in another property and they are very popular with guests, which is the reason we chose to use them again in the flat. The recliners and footstools are very clearly portrayed in the photos used by the holiday company. The door to the shower room was in working order and is so again. May I repeat that everything is new, carpets, dishwasher, fridge freezer, furniture, shower in May of this year.

About the location
PORTREATH
Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.
With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
