“Sadly, most of the items below have been reported over and over again!”

It is so very sad to see that NOTHING is being done to rectify things and you still charge exorbitant prices for the property! Appreciate the location is everything and the fact that people will pay the asking price (like I did) but it really is not acceptable in this day and age. I thought SYKES prided themselves in top quality properties and taking note of customer feedback ....I am sorry to say that it does not seem that way, not with this particular property anyway. Here are some of the observations from our week away (3/10 August, 2024) 1) Dirty cups put back in cupboard and in general, the kitchen items available are pretty basic 2) Broken window hooks with splintered wood and in bad condition 3) Property in very grubby condition overall considering the price paid - paintwork flaking and dirty, sofas with stains (and an odd smell!), switches that don't seem to have a purpose, windows/doors generally bad condition, very uncomfortable dining chairs, uncomfortable beds, ants everywhere and bugs in the corners of the bedroom ceilings (not sure what they are but I have pictures!) 4) No wifi - this is really bad in this day and age! Clearly the neighbouring properties have it (as we saw their wifi identifiers!) 5) Washer/dryer - whilst there is a washing machine, it is NOT a dryer. This incorrect advertising really scuppered us as we brought far less clothing on the basis we would wash/dry! Luckily there was a clothes horse but it took 2 days to dry clothes in bad weather. Very very frustrating/annoying when you have 2 x messy boys with you! If the washer dryer has been replaced (as it did look like quite a new machine), then a courtesy email / message to say that there is no longer a dryer facility should be standard or change the description on the website as it was one of the main reasons we booked this particular bungalow! 6) Dishwasher - could this be new? There was not a nice smell from within when we opened it after arrival and it does not have a good dry cycle at the end. Wouldn't say it was very good at washing either to be honest....tried most presets to see what worked best. May need looking at? 7) Toaster - only one side works (the right hand side), so this needs attention 8) Bath plug - there is no chain attachment and the plug kept getting stuck hard in the plug hole! Needed a knife to get it out! Perhaps consider replacing? 9) Shower - the door seal was flapping about ...so it leaks all over the bathroom floor. Lots of daily mopping up. 10) Pillows/duvets - appreciate it is a holiday let, but I believe that when paying just shy of £2k for a week away that I could expect decent pillows/duvets. No. Very thin/cheap. Not good. I hate to do just moan and would like to point out that we did love the location. It was great that we had a starter pack & milk on arrival and the bungalow has parking immediately outside. The use of space in the property was good as was the water pressure in the shower. It is just unfortunate that there is soooooo much that has needed attention for such a long time and is not being addressed ....just making heaps of money our of holiday makers! In comparison, I was at another property in Carbis Bay in July booked through SYKES for not much less that we paid for Sea Horses. That property was utter LUXURY. Outstanding. Everything in perfect condition. Hotel style beds/mattresses/linen. Lots of little extras. Just so clean and well looked after in every single way - the absolute opposite to Sea Horses, sadly. Come on SYKES - sort it out!!! I would love to book a bungalow there again as the kids absolutely loved the location ....but I simply will not pay that kind of money for something in such poor condition again! I feel very strongly that you have let us down and would appreciate some feedback myself on this, along with some justification as to why you feel it acceptable to not rectify things raised time and time again and charge that kind of money for something so sub-standard? I have photos that I am very happy to share ....

The property

Sheltered from Atlantic breezes by the sea wall, this small private development of purpose built holiday bungalows lies just steps away from golden sands and white tipped waves.

Set around the site of Marazion's former railway sidings and the little granite stone station which has now been sympathetically converted. Ever popular with water sports enthusiasts, windsurfers, kite surfers and dinghies can be found skimming over the waves throughout the year.

When the tide is out, the historic island castle of St Michael's Mount can be accessed by an ancient cobbled causeway well trodden by Pilgrims over the centuries.

A vast tract of inland marshland frequented by rare species of migrating birds attracts bird watchers from all over the country.

Time can be spent browsing in galleries and antique shops, or taking refreshments in the tea rooms, cafes and pubs which can be found lining the narrow streets of this charismatic coastal village. Returning to your bungalow after a day of sun and sea you are able to relax in the uncluttered harmony of open design living.

When reclining on comfy leather sofas, sitting around the table playing board games or preparing a meal in the sleek modern kitchen, the family can fully appreciate each others company.

Nicely furnished bedrooms, clean white bathrooms and full central heating add to the appeal whatever the season. All bungalows have their own patio and the attractively landscaped grounds incorporate designated parking bays in front of each property with 2 spaces.

When you are ready to explore the surrounding area you will find that Penzance, Land's End and St Ives are all just a convenient drive away.
