The property

Penzance 2 miles.

Perfectly located for touring the far west of Cornwall and its outstanding beaches, this spacious, detached house is set in more than seven acres of its own land, just outside Penzance on the road to Land's End.

As you go down the private drive that sweeps down to Avallon House, you get a sense of the privacy and seclusion that this holiday home offers.

With ample space for parking around the house, pull up alongside the conservatory and enter this lovely spacious room overlooking the front gardens, the perfect spot to relax whilst watching the children play outside.

From the conservatory, step into the comfortable sitting room and then straight ahead into the well-equipped kitchen, which leads to the bright and airy dining room.

From the sitting room, the staircase takes you upstairs to the three bedrooms, all overlooking the lawned gardens and surrounding fields, as well as the family bathroom.

Outside, fields surround the property, so the children and dog-walkers will be spoilt for choice on where to explore.

There is also a shed that is helpful for the storage of bikes and walking equipment.

Only two miles away from Avallon is Penzance, a coastal town steeped in history with numerous cafés, restaurants and bars, as well as all the major supermarkets and individual shops.

You are also only a short drive from the dramatic beaches and fishing villages that this area of Cornwall is so famous for.

With so much to do and so many places to see, with a lovely quiet home to return to at the end of the day, Avallon is the perfect place for a Cornish holiday, at any time of year.

About the location

PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves, winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Scilly Isles. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
