Trewartha, meaning “Upper Farm” or “The Homestead” in Cornish, was built in 1928 and benefits from its breathtaking elevated south facing positioning overlooking Praa Sands Golf Course with panoramic views out to sea.
Located in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and based around the cove from the spectacular Mount’s Bay and St Michael’s Mount, Trewartha has uninterrupted views to Sydney Cove, Praa Sands and Prussia Cove headland to the right of the valley, so it’s safe to say the location of this property is rather spectacular.

Guests can cook up a storm in the spacious Hamptons style open plan kitchen, which has been custom designed by George Robinson bespoke fine furniture, The luxurious kitchen also boasts a large quartz island/breakfast bar with chandelier above for cocktails and informal dining.
Expect high-quality accents at every turn with a designer Fisher & Paykel American-style fridge freezer, complete with ice and water dispenser, a built-in BOSH dishwasher, Samsung microwave oven and a Siemens washer/dryer.
The French doors allow light to flood the kitchen area, and lead out onto a large terraced decking space enveloped by gorgeous garden and sea views – the perfect space for entertaining.
There is an open-plan dining room with stunning 2.4m driftwood style refectory table and bench, comfortably seating 6-8 with jaw-dropping sea views, there is also a wood burning stove in the dining area for those cosy nights in.
The living area is flooded with natural light, thanks to the bi-folding doors, there’s also separate sliding French doors, which lead out onto the large decking and balcony.
A wall mounted Smart TV complete with Sky TV can be enjoyed from the large corner sofa, if guests can tear themselves away from the panoramic sea view that is.
The outdoors is just as inviting as the interior at Trewartha, with sumptuous rattan corner sofa, with large table and chairs to seat up to 8 people and a charcoal BBQ, so you’re well equipped for alfresco dining.
Leading from the living area there is the twin bedroom for 1 or 2 guests with a luxurious sofa bed and separate single bed – a great spot to while away the hours, this private snug/bedroom boasts a balcony/decked area accessed through the French windows, with a sun terrace complete with sun loungers and steps down to the garden.
Expect the luxury to continue in Trewartha’s bedrooms.
The master suite has the wow-factor, with dual aspect windows, a Juliet balcony and far reaching sea views, there is a large double wardrobe, Smart TV, sofa, chest of draws and dressing table and chair.
The light and airy bathroom features a large 6 foot JIG cast iron double ended bath with clawed feet and a shower attachment, and if that wasn’t enough there is a large walk in separate double shower too.
The two further bedrooms are both doubles, the ground floor bedroom boasts a luxury ensuite double shower/w.c and is furnished in a beach hut style, whilst the further upstairs double bedroom has wonderful sea views with an historic Tin mine nestling amongst the pine trees on the golf course.
While work might not be on the cards, there is also a study/home office area with large desk and chair with absolutely panoramic sea views.
The view from upstairs looks towards the headland of Praa Sands and Prussia Cove, once home to John Carter, known locally as the 'Pirate of Prussia’ notorious for smuggling around the hidden caves and idyllic coves.
Guests will appreciate the dedicated boot room within the entrance porch, which also has a further separate w/c.
The private garden is safe and well manicured with a large palm tree, mature apple tree, together with a range of exotic Cornish plants and shrubbery.

Praa Sands stunning mile long sandy beach is a short walk from Trewartha taking in the historic Pengersick Castle along the way, less than a 10 minute walk is also Praa Sands Golf Club open to 'non members’ the Club House and leisure complex offers golf, swimming and bar food.
The indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room and gym is a great place for all the family on a rainy day or as a beach alternative.
The beach at Praa Sands is easy to access, great for families and has a huge expanse of golden sands that children will love building their sandcastles, the beach is popular with surfers and paddle boarders, with a surf school and surf hire shop on the beach.
There are endless beaches to choose from along this stretch of coastline though and to the east, Marazion Beach comes with spectacular views of St Michael’s Mount across the bay.
Spending time in the water is all part of a Cornish holiday whether you book a surf lesson or opt for the more unusual activity of horse swimming on Marazion beach, this stretch of coastline is a little bit magical.
A view from the coastal path will delight walkers and cyclists might like to head slightly inland to take on the 12km Bodmin Beast Cycle Trail.
One of the most famous of Cornish landmarks is only a short drive away from Praa Sands.
St Michael’s Mount is a sacred and impressive island with its own castle, at low tide you can walk across the beach on the causeway and discover the island for yourself, there is still a small community of around thirty people living here and using the harbour.
Tours of the garden and castle are available and you can even stay for a bite to eat in the cafes, don’t worry if the tide comes in, you can always catch the ferry back to the mainland.
Eating out is all part of your holiday and Sandbar beach cafe at Praa Sands serves up classic beachside lite bites and drinks.
There is a deli/general store with local fresh produce and a selection of wines, a further general beach shop and artisan pizza cafe delivering delicious homemade pizzas to your door.
A couple of miles along the coast, Porthleven has lots of great places to choose from and is known for its wonderful food and picturesque harbour, it hosts its very own food and music festival in Spring.
