PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Conveniently situated within a five minute drive from both Penzance and Newlyn, and the beautiful scenery of Mount’s Bay. Penzance is an old market town, with many stunning Regency and Victorian buildings. Chapel Street has many buildings of historical significance, such as the Admiral Benbow, the Union Hotel and the Egyptian House. Penzance has the beautiful sub tropical Morrab Gardens and the saltwater Art Deco Jubilee Pool, situated at the eastern end of Penzance Promenade, which has numerous seating areas, food stalls and a pebble beach. At the western end of the Promenade, just a short walk along the Beach Road is Newlyn, one of the largest fishing ports in England. Newlyn is clustered around it’s harbour, which includes an 800 year old quay from whence the Mayflower departed for the New World. Newlyn is famous for it’s School of Art and its copper, as well as its traditional pubs and wonderful sea food restaurants.A walk or cycle
along the level coast path from Penzance takes you to Marazion to the east, or from Newlyn, takes you to Mousehole to the west, An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as sunbathing, swimming and fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay offers visitors a perfect opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
