“As my wife and I are both 77 years of age we did not find the seating in the Lounge area at all comfortable.”

I actually brought one of the kitchen chairs into the Lounge to sit on to watch television. My wife also found the Bed to be particularly uncomfortable as well.

A charming getaway awaits you at Kernyk, a characterful terrace cottage resting amidst the idyllic village of Perranuthnoe that lies between the bustling town of Penzance and the picturesque village of Praa Sands.

Within striking distance of a glorious beach, as well as the famous South West Coastal Path, it makes an exceptional base for a holiday with your partner or for a small family.

Admire your surroundings from the pretty front garden before pushing open the stable door to reveal the elegantly decorated sitting room, where you can choose to perch on the window seat to watch the world go by or get cosy in front of the TV, whilst sitting on the sofa or armchair.

Continue through the property to find the well-equipped kitchen, where the quality range of appliances are certain to encourage a spot of home cooking, and the impressive tri-folding door floods natural light into the space and offer views across the garden, as something simmers on the hob.

Choose to dine at the formal dining table or during the summer evenings, take your meals and drinks outdoors onto the patio area, offering an alternative spot for relishing in good food and good company.

Sleep is sure to come easy in the master suite, where quality white linens drape across the sumptuous double bed.

The single bedroom offers a space for an additional guest to catch their rest.

From the doorstep of the cottage, the secluded village beach awaits, where you can stroll along the shoreline, soak up the sunshine or try your hand at the range of watersports, before grabbing a bit to eat at the Cabin Beach Cafe or lingering over a pint at the local pub.

Whilst there is not a convivence store within the village, a short drive will bring you into the neighbouring village of Rosudgeon where you will find a shop for picking up the essentials.

Don your walking boots and endeavour along the South West Coastal Path to soak up the scenery further, before stopping off at the town of Marazion, where you can enjoy the sandy beach, which links to St Michael’s Mount, where you can explore the tiny island and visit the castle.

Continue along the coastline to discover the bustling town of Penzance before heading further afield to find the delights of the famous Minack Theatre and the stunning landscapes of Land's End.
