“A very nice, comfortable home for a stay in the west of Cornwall.”

Very quiet and well-maintained. My only request for improvement would be the option of a summer-weight duvet.

The property

Tater-du offers first floor accommodation in a lush valley setting just a stroll from an idyllic golden beach reminiscent of a Mediterranean hot spot.

Porthcurno and its spectacular cove of soft white sands and clear azure waters framed by jagged headlands create the perfect environment for relaxation by the sea, or for the more active, you can explore the rugged terrain of coastal footpaths with bountiful views.

Well appointed with a light modern decor and attractively furnished, the apartment provides all the comfort you require, and has access to the terraced gardens (please supervise young children) and communal parking.

Tennis courts and a museum are all within a stone's throw.

The apartment has an open plan living room incorporating a bright, well equipped galley kitchen with breakfast bar.

Open up the French doors that lead out to the decked balcony with table and chairs, and enjoy lazy breakfasts and alfresco lunches, where views reach down towards the azure hues of Porthcurno beach, creating a romantic, serene ambiance for an evening aperitif.

There is a comfortable double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Within a ten minute walk you can experience the magic and magnificence of the Minack Theatre, dramatically carved from the granite cliff face with nothing but tantalising sea, sky and horizon as the backdrop to the performance.

Sennen is just a few miles across the Peninsula and is the perfect spot for watching dramatic sunsets over Lands End.

Just a short drive away is the natural beauty of Lamorna Cove, situated between Mousehole and Lands End, in the most sheltered of the valleys leading down to the south facing shores of Mounts Bay.

Enjoy the busy harbour at Newlyn, sunny Penzance and the buzzing art scene at St Ives, with fabulous galleries, traditional Cornish pubs and restaurants and picture perfect harbour.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
