The property

The Old Post Office is a fabulous,charismatic, mid terraced house set in the pretty village square of Praze an Beeble, Cornwall.

Ideally located for discovering all of Cornwall and close to the stunning Lizard Peninsula, it offers spacious accommodation for six guests, making the perfect haven for families, friends and couples.

Designed with elegance and retaining its character, the interior is set over three floors.

Step into the entrance hallway, leading into the generous and charming sitting/dining room.

The granite hearth with wood burner, beams and lots of comfy sofas create a relaxing social space.

Come together around the dining table for feasts and regale stories from the day’s adventures.

The modern kitchen has all the appliances, including a range oven.

The first floor is host to the first of the three roomy bedrooms, with a super-king zip/link bed and a chic Jack and Jill en-suite shower room with twin washbasins.

The landing has a desk, creating a little study area.

On the top floor you’ll find a comfortable king zip/link bedroom and a twin to super-king zip/link bedroom, both with feature walls.

The smart separate shower room has dual basins again.

At the rear of the cottage is the enclosed courtyard garden, with dining garden furniture for sunshine breakfasts and sundowner drinks.

There is off road parking for two cars.

The Old Post Office is ideally located for beach escapades.

Hayle Towans has a big expanse of sand, just 7 miles away, and the picturesque resort of St Ives with Harbour Beach, boutiques and galleries to browse, and the iconic landmark of St Michaels Mount at Marazion is within a 13 mile radius.

With water sports, rock pooling, surf schools and coast path rambling, there is something for everyone. Visit the magnificent Lizard Peninsula and stroll along the deep harbour walls at Mullion Cove or take a diving excursion to see the dozens of shipwrecks off the notorious Manacles rocks? Back at your holiday home, neighbouring St Aubyn Arms is a family friendly ‘steak and ale’ inn and restaurant serving a good range of cask ales.

To the other side, there’s Philps Bakery and Pasty shop, with the grocery store for provisions over the road.

The Old Post Office will become the retreat you return to, year after year.

Tucked away in the countryside between Camborne and Helston, the friendly little village of Praze an Beeble has a real sense of community. With a traditional Cornish pub, a Post Office, village shop, bakery and a fish & chip shop it has everything you could need. The village green is the hub of the community, and many family friendly events take place here each year. Just outside the village, the Clowance Estate country club with holiday lodges offers a 9-hole golf course, other leisure activities and pleasant lakeside and woodland walks – and the sandy beaches of Portreath, Gwithian and Hayle are just a short drive away. Easily accessible from Praze an Beeble is the old market town of Helston with its boating lake and annual Flora Day – and from Helston, the much-loved harbour town of Porthleven is just a 5-minute drive.
