“I am from the area and have lived by Honeycombe for many years.”

This year I have had to rent a bungalow for 2 weeks for my family of 6 and struggled to find anywhere affordable. This year I have had to rent a bungalow for 2 weeks for my family of 6 and struggled to find anywhere affordable. Our stay was with an expensive but cheaper option of bungalows available in the Tamar Valley area. Unfortunately, our bungalow was plagued with cleanliness issues. There was a drawer infested with mites, filthy fridge, tacky work surfaces and extreme damp and mould throughout. We were, eventually, moved out of the house and into another much better one. I never saw a site manager at all. The initial mite/filth issue was compensated with a bottle of Prosecco (never materialised) and a meal at the local pub. The cleaning staff were very helpful and, I suspect, were instrumental in forcing management to move us. It would take around 4 hours to carry out an efficient deep clean of these houses but I don't think the cleaners are allowed 4 hours. Once moved we haven't heard from Sykes or Honeycombe. Very disappointing.
