“Lovely relaxing week, Lamorna cove in easy walking distance from the farm.”

Owners very friendly but not obtrusive in any way. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit this unspoiled part of Cornwall.

Just over a mile from superb Lamorna Cove Beach, snuggled in a countryside idyll in the sleeping village of St Buryan, Borah Lodge makes the perfect retreat for couples seeking coastal and rural adventures.

Set on the owner’s farm alongside a small clutch of holiday havens, this timber clad dwelling offers homely and welcoming accommodation for a relaxing and romantic break.

The living space is all on the ground floor, with an open-plan sitting area boasting exposed beams, wooden flooring and a dining table for two, a cosy social space for foodie gatherings.

The little galley kitchen has all you need, and the washing machine is tucked away in the shed, solely for your use.

The double bedroom oozes country comfort, with a TV, duel aspect windows with country views and a smart en-suite shower room to the side.

Take a dip in your own private hot tub, screened and boasting a lawned garden and breath-taking Cornish views, with a glass of your favourite tipple.

Dine alfresco with cream teas and barbecues after a day of fun at the coast or exploring the countryside.

The local pub is a mere ten minute stroll away and the coast is a twenty minute walk.

Lamorna Cove has a little sandy beach when the tide is out, a lovely spot for swimming or scuba diving and lies on the southwest coast path between the beautiful sands of Porthcurno Beach and the quaint fishing village of Mousehole, with art galleries and traditional inns huddled around the quay.

Don’t forget to visit the Lamorna Cove Café, with famed local crab and mackerel on the menu.

Newlyn is four miles away with busy port, and a little further around Mounts Bay is Penzance with all the town amenities, promenade and Jubilee sea-pool.

Head west for a 20 minute drive and Land’s End makes a wonderful day out with rugged coastline and panoramic seascapes guaranteed from the scenic coast path.

Hire cycles, surf gear, or go kayaking.
