The property

The glorious sunsets seen from Away West are a spectacular sight.

Sitting on the edge of the most westerly town in England, this contemporary detached house has far reaching views to the Atlantic Ocean and the north Cornish Coast.

The nearest small beach at Cot Valley is less than a mile away, whilst the stunning stretch of white sand at Sennen Cove is just 4 miles distant.

Here you can learn to surf, visit the lifeboat station or simply enjoy a drink at the 17th Century Inn overlooking the bay.

The area is a walker's paradise with the South West Coast Path and Picturesque Cape Cornwall on the doorstep.

It is well worth the steep climb to the top of the Cape to see the wonderful view of the Western Approaches.

Cape Cornwall also has a golf course and a publicly-available indoor swimming pool.

With good range of local independent shops, pubs and cafes, St Just in Penwith has a traditional feel and strong community.

Once inside Away West, the spacious hallway opens to a light and bright sitting room with comfortable sofas and a well equipped modern kitchen/dining room at the rear.

There are three good sized bedrooms on the first floor, two of which enjoy the superb views to the coast.

The ground floor has been designed to be wheelchair friendly and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room should this be required for guests who cannot climb the stairs as well as a downstairs shower room with WC.

Please note the maximum number of guests should not exceed six.

To the rear of the house is a large enclosed paved garden, perfect for barbeques.

About the location

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
