A civil parish and village resting in the heart of Cornwall, St Mabyn can be found sitting in close reach of both the coast and countryside delights of the county. A picturesque village, the area is also home to the hamlet of Longstone. with its name deriving from a standing stone which was broken up for gateposts around the year 1850, as well as manor houses including Tregarden, Tredethy, Helligan Barton and Colquite, there's plenty of scenic wonder to be discovered in the area. The village is host to a modest selection of amenities, including the St Mabyn Inn serving good food and drink, as well as there being a Post Office and general store, perfect for any self-catered getaway. A wider host of wonderful amenities and attractions can be found in close reach, including Pencarrow House & Gardens sitting on the fringes of Bodmin Moor, it's a Cornish Georgian delight offering 50 acres to explore as well as the house boasting beautiful art and antiques, it's well-worth a visit.
