“Beautiful village location and the cottage was bright and airy.”

However, on arrival, we noticed the living room and kitchen floors were not very clean and there were crumbs under the place mats on the dining table. We found the bathrooms a bit cramped but good to have a toilet upstairs. The bed frame was broken with unsuccessful attempt at repair but mattress was comfortable. Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay at our cottage as we appreciate all helpful feedback from our guests. By definition, cottages are often compact but believe that Sykes's description and accompanying photographs accurately represents our cottage however we were pleased to note that you appreciated the addition of the upstairs en-suite toilet. We are very surprised and saddened to read your comments about cleanliness as we have a wonderful and trusted team of housekeepers who have been with us for 2 + years and have passed your comments onto them. Had we been made aware by yourself (or the previous guests) that there was an issue with the bed during your stay we would have addressed that or any other issues immediately. Our welcome email sent to all our guests is accompanied by our "House Guide" ( a copy of which is also in the cottage ) and notes 5 emergency contact numbers which we encourage our guests to call should they need any assistance of any kind. In response to your comment that the cottage looked " a bit tired" ; The cottage was completely refurbished in 2021 , the outside of the was property repainted in Autumn 2022 and internally throughout in March 2023 . We are delighted to note that you found St Tudy to be beautiful village. Property Owner
