The property

Wellfield Cottage, a charming two-bedroom detached bungalow in Cornwall, sits above Sennen Cove's picturesque bay.

Perched just above the beach in a coastal hamlet, where couples or a family of four along with their canine companion can enjoy the beautiful beach and coastal walks.

Before you make your way into your new home, park your car in the large driveway that has room for several vehicles.

Prepare delicious meals in the well-appointed kitchen, which includes a dishwasher and a washing machine nearby, ready to savour at the dining table for four over a bottle of wine as you appreciate the lovely garden and sea views on offer.

The large garden has a lovely picnic bench where you can also enjoy your meal outside while your four-legged friend runs and plays.

Retire to the light and airy living/dining room after dinner to watch a family favourite on the Smart TV with Freeview and BluRay/DVD player while you relax on the plush seating.

When sleep calls, retreat to one of two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a twin.

In the morning, wake-up with a steaming cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast, before freshening up with a hot shower and heading out for the day.

In Sennen, you'll find a well-stocked grocery store, as well as a fish and chip shop and a variety of pubs and restaurants for those times when you just don't feel like cooking.

Sennen Cove and the golden sand and dunes that form behind the beach can be found further down the coast, making for a lovely coastal walk.

You may even spot the local fishermen bring in their daily catch from the small harbour, and they may even sell you a few pieces of fresh fish, perfect for a freshly caught dinner!

In addition to daily flights to the Isles of Scilly, located in the most southerly and westernmost part of England, Land's End Aerodrome offers spectacular scenic flights ensuring a memorable excursion to tell your friends about once you’ve returned home.

Remember to take a picture with the iconic Land's End signpost!

Be sure to let your pooch feel the sand under their paws at the dog-friendly beach of Gwynver, where they can paddle the shores and enjoy a game of fetch.

Marazion, home to the famous St Michael’s Mount and Penzance, with its Penlee House Gallery & Museum and the National Trust Trengwainton Garden are also within easy reach.

For a memorable Cornish escape, look no further than Wellfield Cottage.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

SENNEN

Land’s End 1 mile; St Just 5 miles; Penzance 9 miles.

The most westerly village in mainland Britain, Sennen has a lovely mile-long beach of pure white sand and is a very popular holiday destination. With excellent surfing conditions, the village has its own surf school – overlooked by a super-cool beach bar/restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows which make the most of the wonderful views. Once a hub of smuggling activity, Sennen still retains many secret passages – one of which is said to lead to the covered well in the Old Success Inn. Largely unchanged over time, this lovely village has a timeless appeal and is home to a gallery, a medieval church, an Iron Age fort and a small selection of shops where you can buy beachware, gifts and souvenirs, and a range of groceries. There is also a weekly Farmers’ Market in the village Community Centre each Tuesday morning. During the summer, the beach bar becomes a hub of activity and entertainment, with live music, weekly barbecues and popular surfing competitions.
