“We spent two nice weeks at Pencoys.”

A new cooker was delivered. When we arrived there was milk in the refrigerator, also eggs, potatoes, cookies,… thank you very much! Everything (except small details like windows frames) was clean and we felt very comfortable. The shower is new, very large and very clean. After a week we received new towels. For foreigners like us, it would have been useful to know how the garbage is seperated in the shed. The different bags are there. Thank you again very much for the lovely time at ...

The property

Residing in the seaside village of Mullion is the delightful cottage of Pencoys.

With ample access to the Lizard Heritage Coast and boasting fabulous views of the Cornish countryside, Pencoys is a superb setting for a family of eight who want to get away from it all.

Park your vehicles in the two handy off-road spaces before relishing the rural vista.

Be welcomed into a pleasant living room where leather seating, Sky TV, a toasty woodburning stove, along with plenty of books and games await you.

Progress through the charming home-from-home to the kitchen and dining room, a well-equipped space where the chef of the group can enjoy fixing up tasty dishes on the electric double oven; when dinner is ready, gather the group around the dining table and catch up about your coastal activities.

The ground floor offers a double bedroom, and first floor hosts three bedrooms, one appealing double, one zip and link and a twin room that is ideal for children; the family bathroom is also situated on this floor, with a shower for you to enjoy a well-earned rest in, the cloakroom downstairs provides you with another basin and WC.

Unwind on the terrace as your loved one works the barbecue, and your furry friends stretch their legs on the lawn below.

The location of Pencoys is fantastic, with your amenities being under a mile away, venture into the village to grab your essentials, before savouring lunch at The Old Inn pub and sunbathing on the soft sands of Polurrian Beach.

Pay the town of Helston a visit and learn of the region's history in the Museum of Cornish Life, take the family for an exhilarating outing at Flambards Theme Park, or hike through the beautiful Cober Valley.

Venture south to the settlement of Lizard and hike the South West Coastal Path to Lizard Point, paddle in the waters at the quiet Housel Bay Beach and tour the Lighthouse's Museum.

Outdoors enthusiasts can partake in kayaking and canoeing in the region's waters with Vertical Blue Adventures, or travel to the Goonhilly Downs National Nature Reserve Walk to embark on walking and cycling trails.

There is so much to experience with the family at Pencoys.

About the location

MULLION

Helston 5 miles; Lizard Point 5.5 miles.

Mullion is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, five miles south of Helston and just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Mullion is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.

Note: Access to the property is along a rural unadopted road - the speed limit is 5 mph and care should be taken as the road surface is uneven in places, may not be suitable for low slung vehicles.
