We would have appreciated a teapot and first property we have ever stayed in where this was not provided. Staff all very friendly and thanks to staff member who picked my Mum up when she fell over early in the morning outside. Great location and we loved Falmouth and first time of staying in South Cornwall.

“We loved the pool and used it every day however as the weather was inclement we had a real issue over drying.”

A tumble dryer would have enhanced our stay. More beakers were needed and we went and bought more. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Overall the cottage was good.

The property

This beautiful, single storey home is in a courtyard of cottages just outside the settlement of Mawnan Smith, close to Falmouth in Cornwall.

Budock provides an excellent base for families travelling with two dogs and offers gorgeous presentation throughout.

Budock has recently undergone a complete renovation with contemporary, fresh design elements that go well with its coastal setting and conventional Cornish stone architecture.

The cottage's entrance leads to a sizable open-plan living area with exposed wood beam ceilings.

Here, the resident chef can take charge of the kitchen and prepare a favourite dish with the aid of several appliances.

Before relaxing in front of the sofa and turning on the flatscreen TV, serve dinner at the dining bench.

Three beautiful bedrooms await you as you look to unwind.

The master bedroom includes a double with zip-and-link beds and a sparkling en-suite shower room.

There is also another double with zip-and-link beds and a standard double, providing flexibility for different group sizes.

A small patio area with a bench is located outside Budock and is ideal for relaxing in the evening while thinking back on the day's events.

A luxurious base is Budock all year long.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views.
