    Maureen and John are the most fantastic hosts. They think of absolutely everything when it comes to a luxury stay. The setting is perfect for a relaxing holiday but also in a great location to visit other parts of Cornwall easily. With all the outdoor space, our dog had the best holiday and felt right at home. Designed for pure indulgence, romance and luxury escapism, Omalast is a sleek, flawlessly designed detached hideaway for two with a private hot tub, pastoral views, a warming wood burner and ample space.

Blissfully tucked away amid peaceful countryside, this newly-built rustic retreat is close to both the north and south Cornish coast for saltwater escapades and the cathedral city of Truro with its independent shops, restaurants, golf course, theatre, cinema, art galleries and museum.

Anticipate scenic rambles with dog in tow, sinking into the stress-busting hot tub beneath a dramatic sunset or starlit skies, dining alfresco on the sun-trap deck, basking on recliners in the large, private and enclosed lawn garden and watching movies on the mega-inch TV beside the glowing wood burner.

Arranged on one level, which may suit those with limited mobility, Omalast offers couples (including those with pets and babies) a generous light-filled space with a subtle retro fifties design and a delicious hamper of goodies on arrival.

The intimate open plan living room incorporates a well equipped kitchen with plenty of fun extras including a coffee machine and milk frother for latte-lovers, candle lanterns, candlesticks, cheese board, napkins, ice bucket and picnic hamper.

Kick back on the plump sofa while canine companions curl up in the dog basket with complimentary pets treats and accessories.

The bedroom is equipped with a super king size bed dressed in sumptuous linens and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, a deep bath tub and a walk-in shower that is large enough for two.

In summer, throw open the bi-fold doors from the bedroom to the enclosed deck with rattan furniture for a morning coffee with rural views.

Within easy reach of picturesque harbours, coves and beaches these cottages are an ideal choice for couples and families looking to explore Cornwall. The six properties include Morrane 960063 and Demelza Cottage 959879, which both accommodate four people. Omalast 959978, Bear Cottage 1012424, Be Our Guest Cottage 1008401 and Phoenix 959677 each accommodate 2 people. Altogether the six cottages sleep 16 people. A dog owners’ paradise: each of these pet-friendly properties has access to a dedicated dog walking field. Perfect for a game of fetch or late night ‘walkies’. The nearby cathedral city of Truro has a theatre, cinema, an abundance of restaurants and coffee houses, serving pasties and cream teas. Truro Cathedral is a Victorian Gothic revival, dating back to the late 19th century and showcases a look into historical architecture. Work up an appetite after a round of golf, or hop on the river cruise to the vibrant harbour town of Falmouth and enjoy one of the Cornish ales from the many traditional inns. Hire a bike and explore the woodlands from the cottage; ramblers and four legged friends will enjoy the scenic traffic free trails to the harbour and beach at Portreath on the Atlantic coast. Venture a little further to visit St Agnes and beautiful Trevaunance Cove, where the coastal path continues its way to Perranporth with its popular stretch of golden sands. The wonderful Hall of Cornwall hosts events such as plays, comedy, ballet and opera: well worth a visit. Falmouth, famed for its beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle are all within easy driving distance. For walking and cycling enthusiasts the coast to coast cycle and walking trail at Bissoe is nearby. Truro is the retail centre of Cornwall with a good range of independent shops as well as national stores all within a compact city centre. With its eclectic range of art galleries, bars, restaurants, cinema, theatre, museum and outstanding cathedral this small city is a superb year round destination. Steeped in history and intriguing architecture there is always plenty to do and see. Just meandering through the Georgian cobbled streets is a pleasure in itself. With many peaceful parks all within a short stroll from the centre it is a most relaxing city to visit. A wonderful day trip can be had from Truro to Falmouth along the stunning Fal estuary with many options to disembark and pick up the boat later along the scenic river trip.
