Peter “This shepherd's hut is in a fenced corner of a field up a long steep track and so well away from the traffic and noise of the A39 and with a lovely view across the valley.”

We had twelve children/grandchildren staying in a house ten minutes away so did not spend a lot of time at the hut but it was perfect for the nights and mornings. We did not cook. Ann met us on arrival with bread, butter and jam for our breakfasts and it was lovely to meet her. The double bed runs across the hut but that means that the person on the far side has to climb over their partner so we turned the mattress round to run lengthwise, propping the overhanging end on the two stools which we found nicer and much easier for access. Bedside/bedhead lights would be a bonus but difficult to retrofit. Several of the family came up to see us and admired the cosiness and neat way everything was arranged. We had a lovely time. Thank you.
