“We stayed here for 7 nights (family of five).”

The cottage was beautiful and clean and the farm itself was a perfect setting for us. The views were great and the added benefit of a small children's play area was much appreciated by our youngest 2! The cottage was lovely and clean and had lots of facilities (everything we would need). There was even a lovely welcome gift in the fridge when we arrived of milk, fresh eggs, scones, jam and cream! For us it was perfectly located for us to travel to the places in Cornwall that we wanted to visit ...

About the location

MINIONS

Liskeard 5.5 miles; Looe 14 miles; Bodmin 15 miles; Plymouth 25 miles.

Upton Cross is a small Cornish village originally housing miners but now a quiet retreat set in rolling countryside on the edge of Bodmin Moor. From here there is easy access to some of Bodmin Moor’s most striking features, including the Cheesewrings, Sharp Tor and the engine houses at Minions, as well as Kitt Hill and Caradon Hill. The village has a traditional 17th century pub serving good food and a Post Office. Both coasts are within easy reach, from the crashing surf of the north coast to the clear waters and fishing villages of the south. Siblyback Lake, 6 miles away, offers angling and water sports, and there is salmon and trout fishing available on local rivers. Upton Cross has its own open air theatre offering a varied programmed through the season. A village in the heart of Cornwall, ideal for getting away from it all.
